Hello My Sista In Christ,
Welcome to Deanetta Thompson's Sista In Christ web page. My vision is to share what God has put upon my heart and spirit through my writings. The Lord has shown me what he requires of me and I am ready to do his will. Spiritual Warfare is something I am no stranger to.
The Book of Ephesians 6:12 (KJV) clearly states "We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
We are truly living in the last and evil days. Some of you are fighting and don't even know what you are fighting. The flesh is dangerous, the heart is wicked and corrupt sometimes we become our own enemy. This is why my Sista In Christ it is important to stay on your knees or in your prayer closet and ask God to cover you from the enemy because Satan is out to kill and destroy. I know firsthand! This is why I lift my hands up and glorify him because he spared me allowing me one more chance to get it right so Sista In Christ here I am.
I was born and raised on the South Side of Chicago. My childhood was not easy but God knew he had a plan for me; he covered me with his hands of mercy especially when I couldn't cover myself. I drop out of high school at the age of 14 and traveled in life treading some dangerous highways. I left Chicago and moved to Terry Mississippi to receive my first blessing my GED. I relocated to Chicago, IL enrolling in Olive Harvey Jr. College I graduated with an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts May 2, 1986. I began to make some foolish decisions in my life and did a spiral which was leading me down the pathway to hell. Once again God came to my rescue. I will save those traumas for my next book. I decided after years of struggling with demonic warfare to join the military. After numerous of appearances in court to clear my name to avoid a six year prison term (God covered me from the enemy) I enlisted in the United States Army October 15, 1987 and retired after 20 years at Fort Lewis, WA. November 1, 2007. During my time in the Armed Forces I have received my B.A. in Biblical Studies from Regions University (formally Southern Christian University) December 6, 2008. I obtained my Master of Science Degree from Liberty University May 10, 2009.
I have three major deployments Operation Desert Storm Desert Shield, Operation Uphold Democracy (Haiti), and Tikrit Iraq. My highest award achieved is "The Bronze Star Medal" while assigned as the Senior Food Operations Non Commissioned Officer during Operation Iraqi Freedom. I am married with three children residing in Louisiana. I am an aspiring writer and Psalmist who love to sing, praise and worship songs for the Lord. I have come close to death on three different occasions in my life and God spared me. He covered me from my enemies. My Sista In Christ one of those enemies was "me." It's funny we all have those relatives who predict the age you will live to see, one aunt told me I would not live to see 21, she died three years ago. Satan is a liar he wanted to plant that seed in my head. I am 48 years old and living every moment I have left here on earth doing God's will. I am a true warrior. I owe the Lord Praise! Thank God for Forgiveness.
